Shireen Awwad Hilal

Director

She holds a BA in English Literature from Bethlehem University, an MA in Educational Administration from Texas A & M University and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
As part of her work, she manages the work of the Shepherd Society, which is the social outreach arm of the Bethlehem Bible College. She has a passion for humanitarian and development work, and the work with the Shepherd Society enables this to be put into action – offering both emergency assistance in the form of food, medical assistance and so on, and also durable solutions through job creation and micro-finance projects. In addition, the emergency assistance has more recently extended to Gaza.
Shireen’s passion is also for peace with justice, and she has been a peace activist for many years. Shireen is married with 4 children, and lives in Bethlehem- Palestine.

Mona Khamashta Nour

Hello! I have been serving as a social worker at the Shepherd Society since 2002. I am married and blessed with a wonderful daughter. Alongside my work, I earned a Master’s degree in Leadership and Ministry from Bethlehem Bible College. This organization has truly been a blessing in my life, as it was through my service here that I came to accept Jesus as my Savior.

Noura Nasrallah

Executive Secretary

Noura from Beit Jala, a Biblical Studies graduate from Bethlehem Bible College, works full-time as a secretary at the Shepherd Society. She began her journey with the organization as a volunteer during her studies and pursued additional training in life and administrative skills. Noura coordinates appointments, delivers supplies, and arranges surgeries for those in need. Her experiences have taught her to appreciate life’s essentials and the importance of helping others, such as when she assisted a woman who couldn’t afford glasses.

Elias Awad

Outreach Projects Administrator

Elias Awad is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in project management, consultancy, and community-based initiatives. He holds a Diplom-Kaufmann in Business Administration from the University of Augsburg, with a focus on finance and information systems, and has been active in various volunteer and leadership roles throughout his career.
Elias has worked with numerous organizations, including Médecins Sans Frontières, the Palestinian Centre for Rapprochement between People, German foundations, and CISP on high-impact projects in the Middle East. His areas of expertise include community-based tourism, cultural heritage preservation, and EU-funded initiatives. Additionally, he has contributed to educational initiatives through youth workshops and leadership training programs.
Fluent in Arabic, German, and English, Elias has a deep commitment to fostering intercultural understanding and development through his work. Currently, he continues to make strides as a freelance consultant, helping organizations navigate and manage impactful community projects.

Tamer Musleh

Social Worker

Tamer Musleh is a dedicated and ambitious Palestinian social worker with a strong passion for helping others and serving his community. He studies Social Work at Bethlehem University and also completes a minor in Psychology to deepen his understanding of human behavior and mental health. Throughout his academic journey, Tamer gains valuable hands-on experience by working on real-life cases. He supports a child with autism and assists a student facing physical and concentration difficulties. These experiences strengthen his practical skills in working with individuals with special needs and highlight the importance of psychological and social support in improving people’s lives. Tamer is also highly committed to volunteering and community service. He works with several respected organizations, including The Holy Child Foundation, The French School, and the Local Committee for the Rehabilitation of the Disabled. Through these roles, he contributes to supporting children and individuals in need, helping them overcome challenges and develop their potential. Currently, Tamer is starting a new professional chapter as an employee at the Shepherd Society, part of the College of Biblical Studies. He is excited to continue his mission of making a positive impact through meaningful social work. Tamer represents a strong example of youth commitment and social responsibility. His journey reflects how dedication, compassion, and hard work can create a real difference in people’s lives and in the wider community.

Micheal Fackusse

Accountant

I am Micheal Fackusse, a graduate of Al-Ahliya University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. During my studies, I gained strong knowledge in accounting, financial analysis, and financial systems. On the professional level, I have worked in several different sectors, including banking, insurance, and tourism. This diverse experience has helped me develop a broad understanding of different work environments, as well as improve my skills in customer relations and administrative systems. I am characterized by flexibility, adaptability, seriousness, and commitment in my work. I am always seeking to develop myself and gain new experiences that contribute to building my professional career.
