Who We Are

About Shephard Society

Established in Bethlehem in June 1996 the Shepherd Society has been assisting struggling Palestinians in the West Bank with meeting basic needs such as food, employment, and medical care. In 2007 our outreach extended to Gaza, and in 2013 we began bringing refugee aid to refugees located in Jordan. As the charitable arm of Bethlehem Bible College, it is one of the avenues through which we respond to the Gospel’s call to love our neighbor and care for the poor. The goal of the Shepherd Society is to provide a means for the global community and Christians worldwide to encourage and financially assist the struggling Palestinian’s in the West Bank and Gaza along with the Iraqi and Syrian refugees in Jordan.

Shepherd Society Staff

Sari Zeidan | Manager & Social Worker

Hello! I received my BA in Social Work from Bethlehem University in 2014. Upon graduation, I worked as a field worker for Qader Insititute and later transitioned to the Shepherd Society as a social worker in 2016. I enjoy playing and listening to music, acting, writing, and dance to our traditional Dabkeh dance. When I’m not working here, I play the snare drum for the Bagpipe of the Arab Orthodox Scout Troop (Beit Jala) which I’ve been a part of for 20 years now. So catch me at one of our events!

Mona Nour | Social Worker

Hello! I’ve been working at the Shepherd Society as a social worker since 2002. I’m happily married with one beautiful daughter. When I’m not working here, I study for my Master’s degree in Leadership and Ministry at Bethlehem Bible College. This organization has been a blessing because through serving here I accepted Jesus as my savior.
