Shepherd Society, with the support of the Papal Mission, continues to follow up on the implementation of joint projects and programs as part of the partnership between the two organizations.
As part of this partnership, the Step with the Word Competition (St. Jerome Competition) was launched. The competition is held in schools across the Bethlehem area and targets ninth-grade students, focusing on the study of the Gospel of Matthew. It aims to encourage students to know, understand, and apply the teachings of the Bible in their daily lives through an interactive and educational approach.
This initiative is rooted in the belief that education is the foundation for building the human person, shaping Christian character, and nurturing thought and conscience. It also reflects the importance of investing in young people and helping them develop a deeper relationship with the Bible, allowing its teachings to influence their daily lives, values, and behavior.

وفي إطار هذه الشراكة، تم إطلاق مسابقة خطوة مع الكلمة (مسابقة القديس هيرونيموس)، وهي مسابقة تُنظّم في مدارس منطقة بيت لحم وتستهدف طلبة الصف التاسع، وتعتمد على دراسة سفر متّى، بهدف تشجيع الطلبة على معرفة الكتاب المقدس وفهمه وتطبيق تعاليمه في حياتهم اليومية، من خلال أسلوب تفاعلي وتعليمي.
وتأتي هذه المبادرة انطلاقا من الإيمان بأن التعليم هو أساس بناء الانسان، وتشكيل الشخصية المسيحية، وتنمية الفكر والضمير، ومن أهمية الاستثمار في الشباب ومساعدتهم على بناء علاقة أعمق مع الكتاب المقدس، بما ينعكس على حياتهم اليومية وقيمهم وسلوكهم.
