Building Partnerships for Greater Community Impact

As part of the Shepherd Society’s commitment to strengthening its relationships with community organizations and promoting collaboration, a delegation from the Society, led by Mrs. Shireen Awwad Hilal, Community Outreach Director, visited the Women Child Care Society and St. Nicholas Home to strengthen relationships and explore new opportunities for cooperation.

During the visit to the Women Child Care Society, the delegation learned about several of its programs, including the sewing and embroidery workshop, nursery, and kitchen, and praised its efforts in serving the community.

The delegation also visited St. Nicholas Home, where they learned about its programs and services for older adults, emphasizing the importance of a long-term partnership and working together to develop programs that serve older adults and uphold their dignity.

St. Nicholas Home serves older adults not only in Beit Jala but also in the surrounding areas, providing a model of care rooted in respect, dignity, and a sense of belonging.

This visit highlights the importance of networking and collaboration among local organizations and encouraging meaningful initiatives that contribute to serving the community and strengthening the impact of collective efforts.
