On Friday, July 10, 2026, Bethlehem Bible College/Shepherd Society signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Municipality of Beit Sahour to launch a campaign aimed at purchasing and equipping a fully equipped ambulance to serve the residents of Beit Sahour and its surrounding communities. This initiative reflects the College’s and the Shepherd Society’s ongoing commitment to serving the community and strengthening healthcare and humanitarian services.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Mr. Laith Hazem Qumsieh, Mayor of Beit Sahour; Mrs. Shireen Awwad Hilal, Director of the Community Outreach Center at Bethlehem Bible College/Shepherd Society; and Mrs. Lanette Lanchester, Vice President of Friends of the Shepherds (USA). The signing ceremony was attended by Rev. Dr. Jack Sara, President of Bethlehem Bible College; Dr. Jihan Twemeh Nazzal, Administrative and Financial Director of the College; as well as several members of the Beit Sahour Municipal Council.
The Memorandum aims to foster cooperation in implementing a campaign to purchase, equip, and deliver a fully outfitted ambulance with the necessary medical equipment, and to establish an emergency ambulance service that will serve the residents of Beit Sahour and its surrounding communities, helping to improve emergency response to urgent medical and humanitarian cases.
Bethlehem Bible College affirmed that this partnership reflects its mission of serving the community by building collaborative relationships with local and international institutions and contributing to initiatives that create a meaningful and lasting impact in people’s lives while promoting the values of generosity and social responsibility.
